Wholly owned by Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS), the company was founded on the 7 October 2011 (registered as Aroma Lestari Sdn Bhd) and later rebranded as DatumCorp International Sdn Bhd on the 11 January 2012 as a special entity to become the flagship company of the PKNS Group.
